Petition launched to save free parking after 3:30




A petition has been launched by residents in leek to appeal the decision by Staffordshire Moorlands district council to end the free parking after half past three on council car parks.


The parking changes also see modernised payment methods being able to be used an increased provision for electric vehicles and Charges will apply from 8am to 6pm Mondays to Saturdays in Biddulph and Leek. Sundays will remain free and, for the first time, at Wharf Road in Biddulph people will be able to park for free for an hour at any time.

In Leek, 30 minutes free parking will be offered at any time at the following car parks: Buxton Road; Joliffe Street; Moorlands House; Smithfield South; Stockwell Street; and Vicarage Road. View the petition
