Pictures- Biddulph festival launch day and Biddulph by the Sea

Our roving reporters attend the Biddulph Festival Launch Day Parade. It was a great day with plenty going on. It started off with the parade from the Biddulph Library to the steps of the Biddulph Town Hall. There were schools, community groups, dance groups etc in the colourful parade.  It was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Biddulph. Biddulph at the sea was also happening with a large sand pit in front of the Town Hall beside a funfair and charity stalls. Plenty to see and get involved in. The CT ST8 had a cafe  running and also will be for the next 3 saturdays in the Town Hall where tea and cakes are available. The railings in front of the Town Hall were decorated with lovely bright Yarn-bombs which many hours must have been spent making them.Having enjoyed a nice cup of tea and a cake at the Town Hall our reporters went on to have a look at the Open Art Exhibition and Drop in Workshops at the Biddulph Methodist Church and Victoria Centre. The drop in workshops will be running every Saturday during the Festival. There were some fantastic art on display in the centre and they spoke to Veronica who runs the centre. They enjoyed yet another cup of tea and sat and admired the art on the walls (which some are for sale)this is a free event. The last event that they managed to see was at the Hill Top Methodist Church Biddulph Moor Flower Festival which is on until Monday 4/7/22. There are some beautiful flower arrangements to be seen and the smell of the flowers in the church was lovely

There was also tea and cake available here  and the cakes looked very inviting.
