Pictures- Congleton Food and drink festival

Our roving reporter had a trip out to Congleton to the Food and Drink Festival on in the town centre. It was a fine day and there was hundreds of people all enjoying the music and wandering around the stalls trying local produce, street food, drinks and enjoying the entertainment. The festival stretched from one end of the High Street to the other. The Mayor of Congleton Town Councillor Margaret Garside was giving out leaflets and the Town Crier was ringing his bell and was with the Catchpole and Congleton Ale Taster. Our reporter had interesting chats with some of the charities and organisations that also were there. The Green Tree Cafe from Biddulph, volunteers for ANSA giving out advice about saving food and recycling etc., Congleton Climate Action Group, representative from the Vale Allotments, Congleton Bath House and Physic Garden volunteers, South East Cheshire Cycle Action Group and Congleton Community Project.

It was a very interesting and enjoyable event.
