Pictures: Leek Rotary Auto extravaganza
Our roving reporter was out and about again today at the Leek Rotary Auto Extravaganza at Heakley Hall Farm, Norton Green, Stoke-on-Trent. It was a lovely day and hundreds of classic vehicles had turned out for the event, including lorries, tractors, vans, coaches, classic cars and stationery engines.
During the day there was live music from various groups on the stage, stalls selling crafts etc., auto jumble, a demonstration of wood carving, tea tent, BBQ and a dog show. The Leek Scouts 4th were in charge of the games of “nail in the log” and “nine pin bowling” and the RAF 60 (Leek) Squadron ATC were on duty helping with parking etc.,
The event was very busy with thousand’s of people getting involved in the activities, viewing the classic vehicles, besides having refreshments while they relaxed listening to the music.
