Police arrest man after assault that left two unconscious in Hanley street.

A man has been arrested in connection with the assault of two men in Stafford Street, Hanley, on Sunday.

Police were called at 5.18am to Stafford Street in the town and found two unconscious men at the scene.

Police previously released CCTV images of the men they believed to be involved with the incident.

A 23-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

The man remains in custody.
