Property ordered to close in Biddulph
Officers from the Moorlands Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have been successful in their application to close a property in Woodland Street, Biddulph, which has been linked to anti-social behaviour (ASB).
The property was ordered on 17 November 2021 to close until 17 February 2022.
It comes in response to persistent reports by local residents of anti-social behaviour linked to the address.
The order, granted at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre, will ensure it is a crime for anyone to be at the property for three months.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police, said: "Over the last few months there has been a large number of reports of drug use, crime and ASB at the address and this has had a detrimental impact on the lives of those living in the area.
“Staffordshire Police will not stand for this behaviour and will use their powers including those under ASB legislation to deal with it. This closure will hopefully see an end to the issues and allow local residents to enjoy their lives in peace.
“Local officers will continue to check on the address to ensure the closure is adhered to and there are no breaches."
