Pupils at Moorlands school told to stay home
All pupils at a Moorlands school have been told to stay at home today after three children tested positive for COVID-19.
Churnet View Middle School, in Leek, told parents last night that all pupils in years 5, 6 and 7 must all isolate until 11.59pm on Monday (June 28). Headteacher Steve Fryer said in a letter to parents: “We have followed the National guidance and, following a risk assessment with Public Health England (PHE), advisers have identified that your child may have been in close contact with an individual who has received a positive test result for coronavirus."
"As long as they do not develop symptoms, pupils can return to school on Tuesday, June 29."
