“The Police have contacted us regarding students setting up bike ramps at the disused quarry on Hurst Road. They are putting themselves at high risk as there are old gas cannisters and oil and acid is present. The lakes are also contaminated with chemicals and the old workings are dilapidated and unsafe - some students are running over roofs of the buildings which is obviously a risk to their safety. Please speak to your child and warn them of the dangers!”
