Seven teenagers arrested following Congleton serious assault
As part of a police investigation into a serious assault in Congleton Town Centre, seven teenagers have been arrested.
All have since been released on conditional bail as enquiries continue.
The assault happened at around 7.30pm on Saturday 12 February near the bus station, leaving a 51-year-old man with serious injuries.
As part of the investigation into the assault, a 14-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy were arrested along three boys aged 17, 18 and 15 and two girls aged 15 and 16.
DS Claire Miles said:
“I’d like to reassure residents that the investigation continues to gain pace and we are following numerous enquiries. As part of these enquiries, a number of teenagers have been arrested and are now on conditional bail.
“I’d urge anyone with information who hasn’t yet spoken to us to contact us.”
