STEVENS PENS ONE YEAR DEAL

Stoke City have signed experienced defender Enda Stevens, who has penned a one-year contract at the bet365 Stadium.

Stevens moves to the Potteries following a six-season stay at Sheffield United, where he twice won promotion from the Championship and was an ever-present as the Blades finished 9th in the Premier League in 2019/20.

The Republic of Ireland international, who has featured in over 450 games during his career to date, will link up with Alex Neil’s side ahead of Saturday’s pre-season match at Notts County, before travelling to Spain with his new teammates for the Club’s training camp on the Costa Blanca.

“Enda is a really strong addition to the squad, he brings the mentality of a serial winner – especially within the Championship – and we see his character and experiences as beneficial to the culture within the dressing room,” Technical Director Ricky Martin said.

“He knows the standards required to succeed in the Championship and in recent seasons has shown his ability to perform in the Premier League and at international level too, which is pedigree we need within the squad.
