STEVENSON LEAVES LEEK FOR HEDNESFORD

After discussions over the last two weeks we can confirm that Rob Stevenson has informed the Club that he will be leaving for pastures new - those who know Rob also know he is a very private person & he has asked us to put this message out to the supporters, volunteers and officials at the Club.

"After many memorable & enjoyable years with Leek Town I have made the decision to leave and take an opportunity elsewhere. This really was not an easy choice to leave a club that has been such a significant part of my life.

Reflecting on my time here, I am immensely proud of what we've achieved together. Being named the League Player of the Year for the NPL West last season was a highlight in my career, and it’s testament to the incredible support and teamwork that define this club. The camaraderie with my teammates, the unwavering dedication from the coaching staff, and the passionate support from our fans have made my journey here truly special.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone at Leek Town. To the supporters who have always been there through thick and thin, your energy and encouragement have been a constant source of motivation. To my fellow players, it has been an honour to share the pitch with such a talented and committed group. And to the staff, your hard work behind the scenes has not gone unnoticed and is deeply appreciated.

Thank you for everything. I will always cherish my time at Leek Town and will forever check how results have gone. I wish you all the very best for the upcoming season, and I hope we meet again before my career is out.

All the best the mighty blues.

Jon Eeles, Chairman added the following :

"Rob has been a constant in the team since my time as Chairman, he has had a wonderful season and I truly wish him all the best going forward. Although disappointed to lose him, as any Club would, I understand his reasons . He has been professional and respectful during his decision making process and let me know early Sunday morning that he would be leaving us.

Stevenson is joining step 4 club Hednesford Town.
