Three men charged following cannabis grow find

Three men have been charged after we found a cannabis grow in Stoke-on-Trent.

Afrem Oka, 33, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with producing cannabis.

Ilir Gjidiaj, 30, and Kejdis Hasmegaj, 21, both from Stoke-on-Trent, have been charged with producing cannabis and being concerned in producing cannabis.

It comes after we found 66 cannabis plants inside an address in Hartshill on Tuesday (30 January).

All three men appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday (1 February). They have been remanded in custody ahead of their next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 4 March. Officers across the region are continuing to proactively target drug cultivation as part of our Operation Levidrome commitment. To read more about how you can spot the signs of cannabis cultivation in your area, visit: Cannabis farms | Staffordshire Police
