Two arrested after officers find 140 cannabis plants

Two men have been arrested after we found more than 140 cannabis plants at a takeaway in Stoke-on-Trent.

We went to Market Street, Longton, at 7.45am on Friday (8 December) following reports of suspicious activity.

We found 148 cannabis plants which have since been seized.

A 33-year-old man and a 41-year-old man, both from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis plants.

Both men have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
