Two men arrested in Congleton

Cheshire police report that two men were arrested on suspicion of possessing a stun gun when they stopped a van in Congleton on Saturday 8th May.

Officers stopped a Vauxhall Movano on Clayton Bypass, Congleton at 2.20am.

A 23-year-old man from Warrington and a 27-year-old man from Middleton were arrested on suspicion of possession of the weapon.

They have since been released pending further enquiries.
