Two new COVID vaccination clinics open in Leek

COVID-19 vaccinations are being offered at two new clinics in Leek. Leek Pharmacy on Queens Drive and Fountain Street Pharmacy have opened their doors to members of the public in an expansion to the previous vaccination offer in the area.

Jas Pannu from Leek Pharmacy, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer COVID-19 spring vaccinations at our pharmacy and encourage all eligible people to come forward for the spring dose. Protection wanes over time, which is why we need to top up our immunity with extra doses of vaccine.

“Anyone aged 75 and over, and anyone aged 5 and over with a weakened immune system is eligible for the spring COVID-19 vaccination. We offer walk-in appointments, so you don’t need to book.”

Walk-in clinics are also scheduled to take place at the Leek Fire Station on Friday 23 June, 10am-4pm.
