VIDIGAL SIGNS THREE YEAR DEAL
Stoke City have completed the permanent signing of former Portuguese youth international Andre Vidigal.
The 24-year-old, who can play in a variety of roles across the forward line, joins from Maritimo on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
“Andre is an exciting player who carries a constant attacking threat, and is therefore someone we feel will entertain our fans as well as helping us secure results on the field,” said the Club’s Technical Director Ricky Martin.
“One of the key areas we have been focussing on is to add greater depth and quality in the final third of the pitch.
“We firmly believe that Andre will bring us that, so we are delighted to welcome him to the Club.
“By bringing in vast Championship experience within our recruitment so far, we believe we are creating an environment in which an exciting talent like Andre can thrive.”
Capped by his country at Under-21 level, Vidigal has made 65 top flight appearances for Maritimo during the past two seasons.
He scored on eight occasions in an ultimately relegated side in 22/23, including a run of five goals in six games triggered by a double in a 4-2 win over Boavista on April 2.
