CREWE Alexandra lost out to Grimsby Town at Blundell Park on Saturday.
The Alex were 2-0 down at the break as Eisa (18) and Rose (45) gave them the lead, White scored a consolation for the Alex on 78 minutes but the Cheshire side couldn't find an equaliser and returned home empty handed. Attendance: 5,291.
KIDSGROVE Athletic drew 1-1 with Mossley in the Northern Premier League West Divsion.
Malbon netted for Atheltic on 27 minutes before Camara scored for the visitors on 44 minutes. Attendance 164.
WITTON Albion got the the better of Hanley Town, goals from Lawrie on 20 minutes and then Hughes on 55 minutes sealed the points for the Cheshire side. Attendance: 295.
MACCLESFIELD progressed to the fourth round of the FA Trophy with a 2-0 victory against Curzon Ashton.
Goals from Duffy on 60 minutes and a penalty on 79 minutes converted by Curran saw the Silkmen through at the Tameside Stadium. Attendance: 589.
NANTWICH Town also progressed into the next round with a 3-2 victory over York City at the Weaver Stadium.
Town took a 3-0 lead in the first half goals from Ali on 2 minutes, Kay on 23 minutes and Rankin on 28 minutes saw the Cheshire men coasting but two late goals from City a penalty on 83 minutes from John-Lewis and then Siziba on 90 minutes left a frantic finish with Town holding on for victory. Attendance: 905.
