STOKE City suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat against Championship league leaders Leicester City at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

Goals from McAteer, and braces for Daka and Vardy sealed all three points for the visitors on a disappointing afternoon for the Potters. Attendance: 22,657

PORT Vale also had a disappointing performance when they faced Fleetwood Town as they lost out 3-0 at the Highbury Stadium.

The Valiants went behind early on with a goal from Stockley on 8 minutes and they added two further goals with Coughlan 65 minutes and Broom in the fourth minutes of added time.

CREWE Alexandra came away from Prenton Park with a point as Tranmere Rovers and the railwaymen drew 0-0.

MACCLESFIELD gained all three points against Bamber Bridge in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.

The Silkmen took the lead on 11 minutes as Drummond netted, Bamber Bridge though battled away and equalised with Scarborough netting on 59 minutes, but the Cheshire side got the all important winner with Rooney scoring on 79 minutes to seal all three points. Attendance: 3,005

KIDSGROVE Athletic suffered a 2-0 defeat at Chasetown in the Northern Premier League West Divsion.

Goals from Atherton on 6 minutes and O'Callaghan on 76 minutes sealed the points for the home side. Attendance: 588

LEEK Town continued their impressive form with a 3-1 win at Nantwich Town to leave them comfortably at the top of the table.

Leek raced into a 3-0 lead with goals from Carr on 16 minutes and then a brace from Scully (20, 72), Nantwich scoring a consolatiokn goal from Saunders on 82 minutes. Attendance: 513

NEWCASTLE Town suffered their first defeat under Neil Baker as they lost to Widnes at the Red Industries Stadium.

Holt opened the scoring on 19 minutes and the visitors scored a second on the stroke of half-time as Steele put Widnes 2-0 up. In the second half the visitors sealed the points with a goal from High. Town scored a consolation from Avery on 74 minutes. Attendance: 122.
