WOLVES BEATEN BY THE WEATHER

WOLVERHAMPTON were forced to postpone Monday’s scheduled Premiership home clash with Peterborough.

The Parrys International Wolves were looking to maintain their 100 per cent record at Monmore Green and a decent crowd was building.

But as supporters began to queue in the baking sunshine, a big storm hit the area and the track became waterlogged within minutes.

Local roads were also flooded and promoter Chris Van Straaten was left with no choice but to postpone the clash with a new date to be agreed.

The Wolves now prepare to travel to King’s Lynn in the league on Thursday (June 15, 7.30) before hosting Sheffield at Monmore Green in

the Knockout Cup Semi-Final decider next Monday (June 19, 7.30).
