WOLVES SECOND HOST LOCAL RIVALS LEICESTER WHO ARE THIRD

WOLVERHAMPTON return to Monmore Green for the first time in three weeks on Monday (August 7, 7.30) when they host Midlands rivals Leicester.

Following a dramatic Super Heat victory over Peterborough last time out at home, Wolves then backed that up with their biggest away win of the season against the Panthers last Monday.

It was a result which moved them onto level points with their next opponents meaning it’s a clash of second versus third when they meet the Lions.

It will be the first time the two have done battle in the Black Country since Leicester stepped back up to Britain’s top-flight - and the Wolfpack will be back at full strength, boosted by the return of Rory Schlein who top scored for Championship side Berwick on Saturday.

The visitors track their new look line-up for the first time as well with Richie Worrall joining from Peterborough as well as the arrival of 2017 British Champion Craig Cook.

The aggregate point is also up for grabs on Monday with Leicester leading 49-41 from when the two met at Beaumont Park in May - Wolves team manager Peter Adams is anticipating another close contest this time around.

“I feel they’re a very threatening opposition,” Adams said.

“They’re a good looking team and I think we’re going to need to be very much on our game to send them packing.

“We enjoyed a solid all-round team effort at Peterborough last week though and Rory being fit again will only give us a further boost.”

WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.

LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Justin Sedgmen, Richie Worrall, Craig Cook, Richard Lawson, Jake Allen, Drew Kemp.
