Young people descend on Leek Moorlands Hospital for their live-saving jab
Young people from Leek have been flocking to Leek Moorlands Hospital for their COVID-19 vaccination. The pop-up clinics mean those who are 18 years old or older can receive their COVID-19.
If you are over 18, live in Leek, work in a local school, or have children that go to the local school in Leek, but you live on the outskirts, you are eligible for a vaccination.
Dr Neil Briscoe, Clinical Lead for the Leek and Biddulph Primary Care Network said: “We’ve opened the clinic because we’ve had an outbreak of the Delta variant, and the only way we can get on top of that is to vaccinate as many people as possible in the quickest amount of time.”
Appointments at the pop-up clinic, which are open until Wednesday June 16, can be booked online or by calling 01785 898844. Anybody aged 25 or over can now book their vaccine via the national portal or by calling 119.
