Dreamcoat Stars- Review

The Dreamcoats Stars tour at the Victoria Hall, Hanley with special guest John Barrowman MBE

What a fantastic experience! Start to finish the energy of the show was tremendous with wall to wall hits and classic songs brought to life on stage by four Leading Joseph’s, Keith Jack, Mike Holloway, Graham Tudor and Sam Cassidy.

The show although full of great hits also told the Artists personal stories of their journey through the west end and on tours which was full of quirky anecdotes and humour.

From the moment that the first song started to the final note the audience were enthralled and thrilled by the fantastic performance.

There were fantastic harmonies and numbers from the entire cast as well as some sensational and moving solos too.

This production gave the energy of going to see all your favourite artists and shows all in one show.

Hits from musicals included Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You, Jersey Boys and of course Joseph plus many more mesmerising musical productions.

At no point did ourselves or any of the audience stop singing, clapping and cheering along which filled the theatre with an electric energy.

A special guest appearance from John Barrowman MBE made the night extra special with his sensational vocals he instantly gave the feeling of magic which you could feel come across the audience.

He sang some of his favourites from his latest album which are all iconic tracks.

As we headed into the interval the four leading Joseph’s, John Barrowman MBE were joined on stage by a local school from Newcastle-under-Lyme to sing an iconic Joseph song who also came back to start the second half and close the show is a bright fast paced and excellent performance.

If your a musical theatre fan this show will make you feel right at home as it is a true celebration of everything great about theatres, if you’re not so much a musical theatre fan you’ll still feel apart of the show and enjoy it as much as everyone else because of the classic hits that are true sing-a-long, feel good hits!
